Hi Everyone, Team 2 has adjusted to Ukraine. They dod not want to leave on Thursday.
We went to the handicap orphanage today.WE were
greeted by Karil our orphan that we have
sponsored. His right arm was in a cast and he is having physio 4times a day. He is living with
a family we know Tanya and Alexis. They have 7
children that they have adopted and are consideing
to adopt Karil. They signed some papers today. He is recovering in their home and just loves it there. You can see that he is so happy . He does not mind that he needs more surgeries on his arm.He returns to Kiev July 17.Please remember him in your prayers. We were told that his surgery was a little complicated because it was done later in his life. It could have been taken care of at birth with physio and minor surgery. We thank God that he will be able to use his right arm soon. He remembered Mike and myself. He told me that we were the Canadians that brought them to the beach last year and that they all had so much fun. What a memory. Tanya our little orphan that we have sponsered to repair her club feet is back here. She is now walking with a brace and is finally using the soles of her feet to walk on. She is recoverying very well. We know she senses the love we have shown her. The other children enjoyed the team. The teenage boys were so happy that Matt and Joel were there to spend time with them talking about life and sports. they want them to return next year to spend more time with them. Many of the youth from the church and another church want to come with us to visit the orphans. Some of them never knew these homes existed. We are going to visit 2 more orphanages on Tuesday and Wednesday. The baby orphanage is the last one. The team has been great. It has been a great time here in Ukraine and Mike and I are not even homesick. That is a surprise for us. We do not know if we will have another chance to update. We go the Crimea on Thursday after the team leaves. Blessings to all.
